Curry leaves, which make the aroma of tadka special in Indian kitchen, are not limited to just taste and aroma. According to Ayurveda, it is a medicinal plant, which has the power to fight many serious diseases. If it is chewed 8-10 leaves every morning on an empty stomach, the positive changes in the body can be astonishing.

Curry leaves are rich in vitamins A, B, C and E, iron, calcium and antioxidants. Its consumption improves the functionality of many organs like digestion, skin, hair, diabetes and liver.

Curry leaves cool the stomach and activate digestive enzymes. Consuming it in the morning on an empty stomach is helpful in eliminating problems like gas, indigestion and constipation.
