In India, tea is not just a drink but a part of emotions. But when the taste of drinking the same milk-sugar tea every day starts becoming stale, then a new alternative is needed – and in such a situation, jaggery tea emerges as a local and healthy alternative.

Jaggery, considered a ‘pure natural sweetener’ in Ayurveda, is not just sweet but also a powerful detoxifier for the body. When it is drunk as tea by mixing it with medicinal things like ginger, black pepper, basil or cinnamon, it not only adds freshness to the taste but also provides many benefits to health.

Major benefits of jaggery tea
1. Relief from cold and sore throat

The nature of jaggery is hot. The iron and antioxidants present in it keep the body warm and help in fighting cold and cough. Jaggery tea made with ginger and black pepper is very beneficial for the throat.

2. Keep the digestive system healthy

Jaggery tea provides relief from constipation and gas problems. It activates digestive enzymes, due to which food is digested well and the stomach feels light.

3. Helpful in blood purification

Jaggery helps in purifying the blood naturally. With regular consumption the skin remains clean and glowing.

4. Prevention of anemia

Jaggery is a good source of iron. Jaggery tea is especially beneficial for women and people suffering from anemia, as it helps in increasing hemoglobin levels.

5. Better alternative to sugar

Choosing jaggery instead of sugar is not just a choice of taste, it is a choice of health. Sugar increases glucose rapidly in the body, whereas jaggery is digested slowly and energy remains for a long time.
