American multinational streaming giant HBO Max has officially launched its service in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and several other Asian countries, expanding its global footprint. According to HBO Max’s official website, Pakistani users will be able to start subscribing from October 15, with flexible monthly and yearly subscription plans available.
The streaming platform has rolled out its service in 15 new countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Macau, and Ukraine. New subscribers in these regions will gain access to a wide range of content, including HBO Max Originals, the Harry Potter franchise, DC Universe titles, Warner Bros movies, and Discovery Channel programming.
HBO Max’s library offers a diverse mix of entertainment, such as movies, web series, podcasts, talk shows, documentaries, dramas, and reality shows. The platform promises a rich variety of content catering to different tastes.
Pakistani users can opt for the basic monthly subscription priced at PKR 467, while the premium monthly subscription costs PKR 800. For annual subscriptions, the standard plan is available for PKR 5,600, and the premium plan is set at PKR 7,700.
Subscribers with the annual standard plan will be able to stream on two devices simultaneously in HD quality and will have the option to download up to 30 movies, shows, or web series per year. Premium subscribers can watch on up to four devices at the same time, enjoy 4K video quality, and download up to 100 titles annually.
Before HBO Max’s entry, Netflix was the most popular streaming service in Pakistan, alongside other platforms that are also available to Pakistani viewers.
