Recruitment of Anganwadi workers and assistants

Lucknow. The recruitment process for 69197 posts for Anganwadi workers and assistants in the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department is going to start soon. In this, 7952 posts are for Anganwadi workers and 61254 posts are for assistants. During the review of the department on Thursday, the Chief Secretary instructed the officers to decide the time table of recruitment. He said that before starting the recruitment process, a committee should be formed in the districts under the chairmanship of DM.

In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Leena Johri told that out of 69197 vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and assistants in the state, 2123 are already vacant, while the remaining posts belong to 306 new Anganwadi centres.

The Chief Secretary said that works like nutrition garden, rain water harvesting system, LED screen and ECCE material in the approved 23697 Anganwadi centers should be completed soon. He also said that Anganwadi workers should be given three-day training in all the districts.

The Chief Secretary directed to settle the pending cases to Rani Laxmibai Mahila and Bal Samman Kosh by the end of this month and said that strict action will be taken against the officers who keep the cases pending unnecessarily.

Honorarium of Anganwadi workers

Anganwadi workers get an honorarium of Rs 8000 every month, which includes Rs 6000 honorarium and Rs 2000 incentive. At the same time, assistants get an honorarium of Rs 4000, of which Rs 3000 is honorarium and Rs 1000 is incentive.
