Pak-Afghan War: The tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan is showing no signs of decreasing. Pakistan once again launched a fierce attack on Afghanistan, in which three cricketers also died.
Afghanistan Cricket Board i.e. ACB has expressed grief over the death of three cricketers. ACB has refused to play the T20 triangular series to be played with Pakistan. ACB has announced its withdrawal from the series. Afghanistan Cricket Board expresses deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of the brave cricketers of Urgun district.
The ACB has confirmed that the players had earlier traveled to Sharana, the capital of Paktika province, to play a friendly cricket match. After returning home from there, during a local meeting, they were targeted. All three dead players have been identified. Their names are Kabir, Haroon and Sibgatullah. The board said that apart from the three players, five other people have died.
ACB further said in its statement that ACB considers this attack as a big loss for the sports community of Afghanistan and its athletes and the cricket family. The T20 tri-series is scheduled to take place at the end of November. Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka were included in the series.
