Patna: Ahead of the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Congress Party has released its “Election Power Pack”. The party on Friday made public the list of 40 star campaigners, which includes all the big faces of the Gandhi family, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Along with this, senior party leaders, former Chief Ministers, MPs, and young faces also have a place in this list.
Congress has released this list with the signature of Rajesh Rathore, Chairman of the Media Department of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee. Looking at this list, it is clear that the party does not want to leave any stone unturned this time in Bihar.
The top names in this list of star campaigners of Congress are party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi, and party's national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. These four leaders will be the faces of Congress' election strategy in Bihar and there are plans to hold public meetings and road shows in various areas of the state.
Apart from this, names like senior Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Digvijay Singh, Sachin Pilot, Randeep Surjewala, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and Tariq Anwar are also included. The party has given all of them the responsibility of different areas, so that the campaign can be intensified at the organizational level.
This time there are some faces in the Congress list who have given new enthusiasm to the party in recent years. Leaders like Kanhaiya Kumar, Pawan Kheda, Alka Lamba, Jignesh Mevani, and Imran Pratapgarhi are being considered as the new voice of the party on youth and social media. The party is expected to benefit in Seemanchal region by making Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav the star campaigner.
Chief ministers of Congress-ruled states Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Ashok Gehlot, and Bhupesh Baghel are also included in the list of star campaigners. According to political experts, Congress is trying to reactivate its old vote bank in Bihar and strengthen its hold in coalition politics. A senior party leader said, "Bihar is not just a state but a testing ground for the revival of the Congress. This time we are ready on all three fronts - organisation, face and strategy."
According to sources, Congress is preparing to start the first rally of its star campaigners from October 22. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi can jointly hold rallies in Patna, Gaya and Darbhanga. Through these public meetings the party will communicate directly with the youth, women and farmers.
