Sleeping For Skin Care: The cure for every disease is hidden in Ayurveda. In this busy life, it becomes difficult for everyone to take care of health. Forget to sleep peacefully at night. Using mobile till late night, work stress and irregular routine all these steal sleep. Due to lack of sleep at night, the face gets affected in the morning. The result is that the face looks tired in the morning, dark circles, wrinkles and lifeless skin start appearing under the eyes. It is said in Ayurveda that ‘Nidra Balam, Pushti, Gyanam, Sukham Cha Dadati.’ That is, good sleep gives strength, nutrition, knowledge and happiness to the body.

Skin benefits from getting enough sleep

If you get enough sleep at night, our body repairs itself when we sleep at night. New skin cells are formed, collagen is produced and old cells are removed. This condition is known as beauty slip. During this time, when the sleep process stops, its bad effect is visible on the face. Wrinkles, dullness and aging start appearing quickly on the face. Firstly, it increases the production of collagen, which keeps the skin tight and wrinkle-free. Sleep keeps the skin moisturized, whereas lack of sleep makes the face look dry. Blood circulation also improves while sleeping, due to which oxygen and nutrients reach the skin and the face looks fresh in the morning. Good sleep reduces stress hormones (cortisol), thereby maintaining skin elasticity.

Know how much sleep you should take

Here, to improve your health and skin, you should get enough sleep. It is necessary for adults to sleep at least 7-8 hours, teenagers for 8-10 hours and children for 10-12 hours every day. At the same time, it is not the quantity of sleep, but its quality also matters. It is said that according to Ayurveda, one should sleep before 10 pm because at that time there is Kapha period, which helps in inducing sleep. To get full sleep, you can take lukewarm milk or Triphala before sleeping. Consuming it gives peace to the mind and light light, calm atmosphere and balanced temperature in the room also improves sleep.

Some home remedies are also very effective, like drinking warm milk mixed with turmeric or nutmeg powder at night, applying mustard oil on the feet, and meditating or taking deep breaths before sleeping. It is equally important to stay away from mobile and caffeine.
