Pakistani-American musician Sherjan Ahmad, son of Junoon’s frontman Salman Ahmad, has achieved a major milestone as his latest collaboration “This New Age” has officially entered the Grammy consideration list for 2026.

The song, created in partnership with American producer and songwriter Larry Dvoskin, features Sherjan’s signature guitar work and a soulful solo performance. The track is now being considered in the Best Rock Performance and Best Global Music categories, according to sources close to the project.

Sherjan announced the news on social media, expressing gratitude for the recognition. “It’s an honor to have our song ‘This New Age’ under Grammy consideration,” he wrote. “Working on this project was an incredible experience, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to share our music with a global audience.”

Born and raised in the United States, Sherjan has followed in his father’s musical footsteps but has developed his own style — blending elements of rock, world music, and modern fusion.
