Ayushman Card Limit Renew: The Government of India and State Governments have been running many public welfare schemes from time to time for the welfare of the citizens. One of these schemes is Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), which provides free treatment facilities to the poor, needy and economically weaker section of the country. Under this scheme, Ayushman card is issued to eligible people, through which they can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

What is Ayushman Bharat Scheme?

Ayushman Bharat Yojana aims to provide health security to those sections of the society who do not have the ability to afford expensive treatment. Under this scheme, registered beneficiaries get the facility of cashless treatment in government and registered private hospitals across the country.

Who can make Ayushman card?

To get Ayushman card made, your eligibility is first checked. If you are found eligible, only then you can avail the benefits of this scheme. Follow the steps given below to check eligibility:

Here you will get the option of ‘Am I Eligible’. Click on it and fill the required information like state, mobile number or ration card number etc. After submitting all the information you will know whether you are eligible for the scheme or not.

How to make Ayushman card

If you are eligible, you can get Ayushman card made in three ways:

  • Online application through official website or Ayushman App.
  • Get the card made by visiting the nearest CSC (Common Service Centre).
  • You can also start the application process from the help desk of the hospital.

After checking your eligibility at the CSC centre, the application process is completed and within some time your Ayushman card is ready.

What is the benefit of Ayushman card?

  • Ayushman card holder gets free treatment up to ₹5 lakh every year.
  • This treatment can be done in any registered government or private hospital.
  • This includes the cost of major surgeries, operations, medicines and hospitalization.
