Linda Robson has opened up about how one of her closest Loose Women friends has vowed to arrange for her to meet one of her celebrity idols before she dies.
Since making her first appearance on Loose Women as a guest panellist in 2003, Linda became a permanent member of the beloved chat show in 2012 and has been a focal part of the programme ever since.
However, reflecting on an anecdote from her recent memoir, Truth Be Told: Tales from a Baggy Mouth, she recalled the moment she woke up remembering that she’d had a somewhat peculiar dream about Elton John.
Recalling the story on The Lewis Nicholls Show podcast, she said: "I woke up the next morning and thought, 'Oh my God! I've had sex with Elton John on the Eurostar.' I thought, 'My husband's going to kill me if he finds out.' It was really real, honestly, I swear to God I'd never had a dream like that before."
As she continued the anecdote, she revealed that she managed to hand a letter to Elton, via a mutual contact, in which she detailed their fictional intimate encounter.
In response, she recalled how the pop star had taken her letter in good humour, claiming that he wrote back saying they "made so much noise they chucked us off".
Meanwhile, she also shared that she has never had the chance to meet him in person, but one of her Loose Women colleagues has vowed to make it happen, saying: "Janet [Street-Porter] says before I die, she's going to take me to meet him."
She also revealed that her Loose Women colleague had gone one step further, explaining: "Janet Street-Porter bought me a Dolce & Gabbana bag that Elton John had bought her in the south of France years ago." Jokingly, she added: "So basically, Elton John bought me a designer bag."
Away from sharing an insight into her friendship with Janet Street-Porter, Linda first saw her acting career take flight in the 1970s when she appeared in a slew of dramas and sitcoms, though she is probably best known for starring alongside Pauline Quirke in Birds of a Feather in the 1990s.
Meanwhile, Linda is set to make her return to our screens this evening. Having already tried her luck on The Weakest Link in 2022, she will be hoping to better her previous efforts as she makes her second appearance on the show.
She is set to battle it out against a host of celebrities, including Danny John-Jules, Helen Flanagan and Tim Vine, with Romesh Ranganathan hosting the show.
The Weakest Link is set to return to our screens this evening (18 October) at 8.35 p.m. on BBC One
