Terrible fire in Farrukhabad’s oil factory, explosion in cylinders, chaos, rescue operation underway

Farrukhabad Fire News: A massive fire broke out in an oil factory in Farrukhabad late Saturday evening. The fire grew very quickly and 25 meter high flames were visible from about 1 kilometer away. There are repeated explosions in gas cylinders in the factory, which has created fear and chaos in the surrounding area. Therefore the houses near the factory have been evacuated.

As soon as the information was received, many fire engines and officials reached the spot. Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire for about two hours, but due to the flames being very high, there is difficulty in the relief work. To manage security and traffic, traffic on the Delhi-Farrukhabad route has been completely closed, causing inconvenience to passengers.

3 thousand liters of diesel present in the factory

This incident took place in the bio oil factory of Sadikpur village of Nawabganj police station area. The fire broke out around 6:30 pm. Four fire tenders are on the spot and efforts are being made to extinguish the fire with water. The factory is spread over 22 bighas and about 3 thousand liters of diesel is kept in it.

As soon as the news of the fire was received, DM Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi, SP Aarti Singh, ADM Arun Kumar, Kayamganj SDM and CO also reached there. People around the factory have left their homes and come out. Fire brigade personnel are bringing water from nearby Chaurasia village, from where water is being filled through submersible pumps and tube wells.

Police closed Kayamganj Farrukhabad road

Police has completely stopped the movement on Kayamganj Farrukhabad road. Firefighters are trying to control the fire, but due to excess oil in the factory, the fire is increasing. There is no news of anyone being injured or killed so far. Police and firefighters are engaged in relief and rescue work. The full extent of the damage is not yet known.

Efforts to control the fire continue: DM

Regarding the accident, Farrukhabad DM Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi said that the fire broke out due to short circuit in the bio oil gas plant located in Sadikpur village. Due to commercial LPG gas cylinders being kept in the plant, the fire quickly took a serious turn. As soon as the information was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire. At present the situation is under control.
