PAK-AFG WAR : Recently, Pakistan launched a major air attack on Afghanistan. Eight people, including three players of the Afghanistan cricket team, have died in this attack. This incident has shocked the world. The attack by Pakistan has been condemned by many. This is how the International Cricket Council has commented on the death of Afghan players. Now Pakistan is worried about this. Let’s see what the real issue is.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Ata Tarar has dismissed the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) statement regarding the death of three cricketers in Afghanistan as biased. The ICC and the Indian governing body for cricket expressed condolences over the death of Afghanistan cricketers in an air strike in Paktika province on Saturday, but did not mention Pakistan in their statement. The cricket associations reacted after the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) decided to pull out of the tri-series in Pakistan next month.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) later announced that they would play Zimbabwe instead of Afghanistan for the tri-series. The third team in this tournament is Sri Lanka. In a statement on Sunday, Tarar said, “We condemn and reject the ICC’s statement claiming that three Afghan cricketers were killed in a Pakistani attack.” The ICC did not bother to independently verify the claims of the Afghanistan board and issued a statement blaming Pakistan for the attack. The minister said that Pakistan itself has been a victim of terrorism for years and asked the ICC to correct its statement.

It is strange that within hours of ICC’s statement, ICC President Jai Shah repeated the same words on his social media account and the Afghanistan board also used similar words. The Afghanistan Board issued a statement without presenting any real evidence. Several Afghan cricketers, including Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib, strongly condemned the airstrike and the resulting deaths in their social media posts on Saturday.
