Lazarus, a chillingly thrilling Prime Video series featuring an array of top-notch stars, is set to bring Harlan Coben's latest drama to life.

Coben, renowned for his slew of book-to-Netflix adaptations including The Stranger and Stay Close, has joined forces with Brassic and Ordinary Lies writer Danny Brocklehurst to craft their new Prime Video series Lazarus.

Comprising six episodes, the series sees Joel Lazarus (portrayed by Sam Claflin) returning home following the suicide of his father Dr Jonathan Lazarus (Bill Nighy).

However, Lazarus soon begins to experience eerie occurrences that he can't explain, leading him to become entangled in a series of unsolved murders.

Jenna Lazarus, played by Welsh actress Alexandra Roach, has devoted her life to spiritual practices following her sister's murder years ago.

However, Joel's inexplicable experiences force Jenna to confront her own hidden truths.

Roach is remembered for playing DS Joy Freers in No Offence and Becky in Utopia but has also had roles in Death in Paradise, Inside No.9, Being Human, Black Mirror and Killing Eve.

Kate Ashfield has starred in Shaun of the Dead, Prime Suspect's The Scent of Darkness, Line of Duty, Life, A Confession and Sanditon as Mary Parker.

She portrays Detective Sergeant Alison Brown, a friend of Jonathan Lazarus.
