Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Chakai Assembly Seat is counted among the most exciting seats in Bihar Assembly Election 2025. This seat of Jamui district has never been the traditional seat of any one party. The voters here give a new verdict in every election. The biggest surprise came in the 2020 assembly elections (Chakai Election 2020). Independent candidate Sumit Kumar Singh won by defeating RJD's Savitri Devi by a margin of just 581 votes.

Note: The total assets of Sumit Kumar Singh, who is educated till graduation, is Rs 3.68 crore and he also has a loan of Rs 60 lakh. A criminal case has been registered against him.

Important thing: This victory marked the entry of RJD in Chakai.
In the 2010 elections, Sumit Kumar Singh won in a very close contest on JMM ticket.
Important thing: The victory margin was only 188 votes. This was one of the few major victories of JMM in Bihar politics.
