Update of PM Maandhan Yojana: There are many farmers in India who face financial problems at a particular stage of their age. In early life, these farmers earn their livelihood through farming, but in old age, farming becomes difficult due to low physical capacity. In this situation, farmers have to face financial challenges.
To solve these problems, the Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Under this scheme, farmers get a pension of Rs 3,000 every month after the age of 60 years.
This scheme has been made to secure the future of farmers. Only farmers between 18 to 40 years of age can apply in this. The amount of investment is determined according to the age of the farmer. If a farmer applies at the age of 18 years, he will have to contribute Rs 55 every month. Whereas, if you apply at the age of 40 years, you will have to contribute Rs 200 every month.
This investment will have to be made till the age of 60 years. After 60 years, farmers will get a pension of Rs 3,000 every month, which will continue throughout their life. If a farmer dies after the age of 60, his wife will get Rs 1,500 every month. To apply for this scheme, documents like Aadhar card, bank account details (IFSC, account number), land records and mobile number will be required. Farmers can start investing by opening an account under this scheme on the occasion of Diwali.
