Tonk: A fire havoc was witnessed on the night of Diwali in Tonk, Rajasthan. During this, a massive fire broke out in a wholesale warehouse in the heart of Deoli city. During this, a sudden fire broke out late at night in Basant Fancy Store located in the lane of Agarwal Dharamshala Arora Hospital. The fire took a monstrous form there in no time and goods worth lakhs of rupees including hosiery, footwear and tarpaulin kept in the 70 feet long shop were burnt to ashes. Many electronic goods were also destroyed during this.
The fire took a terrible form at 3 o'clock in the night.Businessman Rajkumar Mittal said that he closed the shop at around 10 pm and left. Meanwhile, at around 3 am, his mother Sita Devi, who was sleeping in the back portion of the shop, smelled smoke. She immediately woke up her son who was sleeping upstairs. By the time Rajkumar reached downstairs, the fire had spread throughout the shop. Rajkumar immediately informed the Municipal Corporation fire station. Meanwhile, the fire brigade team reached the spot and controlled the fire after about two hours of hard work, but by then goods worth lakhs kept in the warehouse had been burnt.
The accident caused chaos in the familyMeanwhile, the victim suffered losses worth lakhs of rupees due to the massive fire. The family was devastated by the tragedy. The shop's entire stock of hosiery, undergarments, footwear, tarpaulins, and other items were destroyed. LED TVs, laptops, sofa sets, and plaster stored in the warehouse were also destroyed. The devastating accident caused widespread panic in the city. Victim Rajkumar Mittal stated that he had suffered losses of approximately 1.5 million rupees. It was fortunate that his mother, Sita Devi, managed to escape in time, otherwise a much worse tragedy could have occurred. Upon receiving the information, Trade Federation President Pankaj Jain Saraf, officials Pramod Mangal, and Tejendra Pareek arrived at the scene. They consoled the victim and assured him of all possible assistance.
