GH News October 22, 2025 10:06 PM

Rain ruined the first ODI between Australia and India in Perth. The delays upset the fans and stopped India from building any flow in their batting. In the end the Indian team scored just 136 runs for 9 wickets in 26 overs. The second ODI is very important for India because they are losing the series 1-0 and need to win to keep their chances alive. They hope the weather is good and there are no interruptions at Adelaide Oval.
How is the weather?
Luckily the weather seems good for the important match. There might be some rain in Adelaide the day before the Australia vs India 2nd ODI but the forecast for the game day looks good with less than a 10% chance of rain. The sky will have some clouds all day but heavy rain like in Perth is not expected. However a few light showers might happen from time to time.
Whats the pitch report?
The pitch at Adelaide Oval is one of the easiest for batting in Australia. It is flat and the ball bounces well making it good for the batsmen. This is also one of the few places in Australia where spin bowlers can be very effective. This is good news for India because they have strong spin bowlers which gives them a small advantage over Australia.
How did Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma perform in the 1st ODI?
In the first game Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma didn’t perform well. Rohit was out for eight runs caught by Josh Hazlewood and Virat Kohli got out without scoring dismissed by Mitchell Starc. The second ODI is very important for both experienced players because their future in ODI cricket depends on it. Kohli and Rohit want to be part of the World Cup 2027 team but how they play in this Australia series will decide if they stay in the team for upcoming matches or not.
