News Delhi:  India will look to deliver an improved performance in the second ODI against Australia in Adelaide on Thursday following a disappointing show in in Perth. Indias star players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who made a comeback after a gap of four-five months were dismissed early during the powerplay in the first game they will look to perform with the bat as they are fight to retain their ODI spots ahead of the 2027 World Cup. While major batting changes are unlikely India could consider including in-form wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the squad who topped the wicket charts in Indias last two series into the XI for the must-win clash. Meanwhile Australia started the three-match ODI series on a positive note as they secured a convincing seven-wicket victory at the Perth Stadium. Australia chased down the target of 131 easily in 21.1 overs. Skipper Mitchell Marsh led the charge and played an impressive knock of 46 runs while Josh Philippe also contributed 37 runs off 29 balls. A win in the second ODI would allow Australia to clinch the series while a Indias victory would keep the third ODI meaningful.
