Prabhas, who is making waves across India, celebrated his 46th birthday with much fanfare as the makers released the explosive first look of his ambitious period drama ‘Fauji’. Directed by visionary Hanu Raghavapudi (Hi Nanna), this explosive film plunges into the turbulent British-Indian era of the 1940s, blending raw action, sacrifice and indomitable patriotism.
The teaser poster released by Prabhas himself on Instagram shows the rebel star in a striking close-up – eyes full of determination, surrounded by colonial-era weapons and a torn Union Jack. This is an interesting story of a fearless soldier who exposes the hidden chapters of India’s freedom struggle. Along with the revelation, Prabhas shared a poignant Sanskrit verse: “Padmavyuha vijayya partha. Pandavapaksha sansthita karna. Guruvirihita ekalavya. Janmanaivacha yoddha asha,” highlighting epic warriors like Arjuna, Karna and Ekalavya – who are the epitome of loyalty and innate bravery.
*Fauzie* stars Prabhas in the role of a revolutionary soldier, which also stars Bollywood veterans Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada in lead roles. Kannada newcomer Imanvi steps in as the leading lady, promising refreshing chemistry. Vishal Chandrasekhar (*Premlu*) has composed the music, while ace cinematographer Sudip Chatterjee and editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao have elevated the visuals. The shooting began in Madurai, extending to Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City and the historic streets of Kolkata for authentic period immersion. Although there is no specific date set, whispers suggest that in line with the theme of the film, it will hit Independence Day 2026.
Talking about career, Prabhas did wonders in *Kalki 2898 AD* and did a cameo in *Kannaappa* with Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal. Fans are gearing up for *Baahubali: The Epic*—the remastered single-cut re-release of the franchise—which is hitting theaters on October 31. Next, *The Raja Saab* will hit the theaters on January 9, 2026, completing a strong lineup.
With a happy birthday, *Fauji* further cements Prabhas’ reign in epic storytelling. Will this soldier’s journey rule hearts like *Baahubali*? The battle for success at the box office begins.
