Samsung Galaxy XR is based on Google’s new Android XR operating system which is specifically designed for Gemini AI integration. According to Google’s Android ecosystem head Sameer Samat, this platform is the first Android platform ready for the Gemini era. In this, users can navigate by voice, eye and hand gestures. Gemini provides real-time information like a smart assistant. Apps like Google Maps, Photos, Meet, Chrome and YouTube have been specially optimized for XR.
Galaxy XR is not just for entertainment but also works as a productivity device. Users can open multiple windows in it, connect with a mouse and keyboard and get a complete desktop experience by linking to their PC. For creative professionals, it has been provided with apps like Adobe Project Pulsar and TopHatch Concepts, which have been made even smarter with Gemini AI. Talking about entertainment, Samsung has launched more than 50 XR experiences which include studios like Owlchemy Labs and Resolution Games. Also, platforms like HBO Max, Peacock and Crunchyroll are also supported.
Galaxy XR weighing 545 grams has a comfortable fit and cushioned support. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. Its 4K Micro-OLED display delivers stunning visuals with 109 degree field of view and 90Hz refresh rate. The headset includes advanced technologies like eye tracking, 3D capture cameras and iris recognition security. For audio, it has a 6-mic array and dual speakers which provide spatial sound.
