The photo and video sharing platform, owned by Meta, said the new feature was designed specifically for ‘teen accounts’. In this, users will get a choice of six different icon designs. All these designs are created together by famous illustrator Carlos Oliveiras Colom and Instagram’s design team.
This update of Instagram includes many attractive themes for young users. It is available in ‘Fire’, ‘Floral’, ‘Chrome’, ‘Cosmic’ and ‘Slime’ designs. Each theme has a different look, allowing users to change the app’s icon daily to suit their mood and preferences.

If you have a ‘teen account’, changing the icon is very easy.
1. First open the Instagram app.
2. Tap on the Instagram logo at the top of your home screen.
3. After this you will see the option of “App Icon”.
4. From here you can select your preferred design and it will appear as the Instagram app icon on your phone’s home screen.
“We’re rolling out a new creative update for teen accounts – customizable Instagram app icons! Now young users can choose from any of our six different themes, created in collaboration with Carlos Oliveiras Colom,” the Instagram design team wrote in their official post.
This feature is only available for Teen Accounts. Instagram says the aim is to give young people a chance to express their identity and interests independently. Also, this feature gives them more control over their friends, favorite content and a safer online experience.
This Instagram update not only enhances the beauty of the app, but also gives young users the freedom to personalize their digital identity.
