Railway Rules for General Tickets: Passengers with general tickets should not board these two trains without a reservation. Otherwise, they could face fines and even deboarding. Learn the rules.

Millions of passengers travel by train every day in the country. Many of these passengers make reservations in advance, but many travel with general tickets. The Railways have established certain rules regarding general ticket travel.

If you have a general ticket, boarding certain special trains is prohibited. This includes luxury trains like the Vande Bharat Express and Rajdhani Express. These trains are considered among the most modern and fastest in the country. They do not have standard general coaches.

Because of this, passengers boarding these trains without a reservation could face difficulties. Therefore, violating this railway rule can be costly and could result in a hefty fine.

General ticket holders should not attempt to board these trains without a reservation. If anyone does this, the ticket may be cancelled. Railway staff reserves the right to deboard the passenger. Such action is necessary for the safety and comfort of all passengers.

The Railways states that the number of seats on the Vande Bharat Express and Rajdhani Express is limited. Therefore, only passengers with reservation tickets can travel. If passengers with general tickets accidentally board the train, they will be immediately counseled, and necessary action will be taken.

If a passenger violates the rules, they may be fined under the Railway Act. The fine typically ranges from ₹500 to ₹1,000. Additionally, railway staff may deboard the passenger, and they may be required to purchase a new ticket to continue their journey.

It is important for all passengers to follow this rule. Always remember that boarding luxury trains like the Vande Bharat Express and Rajdhani Express with general tickets is prohibited. Breaking the rules can result in fines and deboarding. Therefore, understand this rule before making a mistake.
