Pakistani TV star Saba Qamar has once again impressed audiences with her role in the drama Case No 9. The show airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. on Geo Entertainment. She plays Sehar, a brave young woman who fights for justice after being sexually assaulted.
Fans and critics have praised her performance. Veteran actress Atiqa Odho complimented Qamar for her natural and powerful acting. She also asked Qamar how she manages the emotional pressure of such a demanding role.
In response, Saba shared her feelings on Instagram. She wrote, “Emotional scenes take a real toll on the mind and the body. Living those emotions again and again affects you. I’ve even faced health issues because of it.”
Despite these challenges, Qamar remains dedicated to her role. She added, “I’m learning to take better care of myself, to breathe through it, and remind myself that I’m strong. It’s tough, but this is what I love, and that’s where my strength comes from.”
The drama has earned praise for highlighting difficult social issues realistically. Experts and fans say Saba’s performance is one of the strongest in recent Pakistani television. Her honesty also shows the psychological challenges actors face when portraying intense characters.
Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under 7th Sky Entertainment, the drama is written by Geo News anchor Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain. It covers sexual violence, courtroom battles, and societal pressure, captured in the question, “Log kya kahenge?” (What will people say?).
