On Saturday, those who were hoping to use the train this holiday season, particularly for the Chhath celebration, resorted to social media to voice their displeasure with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s (IRCTC) website.
While making the complaints, the IRCTC responded to social media users who tagged it on its X accounts, but it has not yet released an official comment.
Nearly 180 complaints of IRCTC outages and service interruptions were received by Downdetector, a website that monitors and reports outages and service disruptions in real time for online platforms, applications, and websites, at approximately 10 a.m. today.
In response to a post where a user complained about difficulty ordering tickets, IRCTC said, “Please use your registered email address or mobile number to voice your concern or complaint on https://equery.irctc.co.in/irctc_equery/.” “The IRCTC website is unavailable while ticket booking, sir.” Please take the necessary action. A snapshot of the reservation is attached.
Another student who could have been taking his examinations said that the IRCTC servers were down, which prevented him from doing so.
“Just one minute before the #Tatkal booking period begins, the IRCTC website is completely down. For my test, I’ve been trying to reserve an AC ticket for the last three days. Every holiday season, this occurs. X user @Pradeep63235513 said, “#IRCTCDown #TatkalBooking #FestiveTravel #IndianRailways.”
“There are undoubtedly issues with the irctc app for the general population. Either a significant technical issue or certain flaws exist. We were unable to purchase tickets. “If sharing screenshots aids in resolution,” another irate traveler said.
