New Delhi: OpenAI has introduced a new set of ChatGPT integrations in apps, where the popular apps can be linked to the AI assistant. The upgrade enables users to carry out actions across various platforms without having to exit the chat platform. As an example, integrating a Spotify account allows ChatGPT to produce individual playlists, suggest new music, or control library music. Equally, add-ons with programs such as Canva, Figma, and Coursera simplify the design, planning, or learning process, all of which utilise ChatGPT.

Getting started is simple. To use ChatGPT, the user has to be logged in and type the name of the app in his or her prompt. The assistant will take them through the process of connecting their account. Alternatively, under the Apps and Connectors menu, the Settings menu can be viewed, and desired apps can be browsed and connected simultaneously. Users are advised to remember that using the apps linking accounts spreads the data of the app to ChatGPT; thus, it is necessary to check permissions. Any accounts can also be disconnected via the same menu.

ChatGPT allows customers to find hotels and flights on Travellers using Booking.com and Expedia. Users are able to use price, star rating, location and amenities to filter the results. After identifying a desirable alternative, they would be able to make the reservation on the initial site. ChatGPT simplifies the procedure by doing first searches and comparisons.

The Canva and Figma integrations can be useful in creating graphics, posters, presentations, diagrams, and product roadmaps by the designers and teams. Specifications can be added (size, colours or format), and ChatGPT develops original drafts. Although the designs might be subject to change, the AI accelerates the process of brainstorming and visualisation.

Spotify Connect is also enabled, where users can create mood-based playlists, find new artists, or organise their music library. Coursera assists in locating online courses based on the level of skills, time and price. Zillow streamlines the search for a home by allowing price, bedroom, or location filters to be prompted.

OpenAI will have additional integrations throughout the year, such as DoorDash, Uber, Target, and Walmart. The app integrations are, however, currently only in the U.S. and Canada, with the users in Europe and the U.K. awaiting their rollout.
