Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty hit back at those who criticized Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after the star duo delivered a classic performance in the third ODI against Australia in Sydney. He praised them for responding with their batting brilliance and said that players like them dont need to prove anything to anyone.
Kohli was under heavy criticism after getting out for zero in the first two matches while Rohit showed some form with a gritty 73 in the second ODI at Adelaide Oval. In Sydney Rohit carried his momentum with a brilliant 121* and Kohli bounced back with an unbeaten 74. Together they added an unbroken 168-run partnership guiding India to chase 237 runs with nine wickets remaining and avoiding a series whitewash.

Its funny how quickly we forget...the records the fights the pride the tears the sacrifice. Two games and suddenly everyones a critic. They heard the noise. They read the doubts. They stayed silent... And let the bat do the talking. Because legends like Rohit & Virat dont have to prove a point — They are the point.

What did Rohit Sharma say after the match?
After the match Rohit said that playing in Australian conditions was tough and that the younger players would still gain a lot of valuable experience even though India didn’t win the series. He mentioned:
You expect tough conditions in Australia. Quality bowlers. Gotta understand things and try your best. Havent played for a long time good prep. Slightly confident coming in. We couldnt win the series - will still take a lot of positives. Young side there will be a lot of learnings for them. When I came into the squad I remember how seniors helped us its now our job to do the same. Never easy playing in Australia just abroad.
