Chhath Puja Kharna: The great festival of Chhath Puja has started on 25th October with Nahay-Khay. Today is the second day of Chhath Puja. Today there is Kharna in Chhath Puja. The day of Kharna is considered very important in Chhath Puja. A whole day fast is observed on Kharna. Kharna means purity. In such a situation, special care is taken of purity and sanctity on this day, so that the worship is not interrupted in any way.

On this day, Prasad is made on a new earthen stove. Mango wood is used to make Prasad. This maintains the purity of the Prasad. On this day, after fasting the whole day, offerings are made to the Gods and Goddesses and Chhathi Maiya in the evening. Then this Prasad is accepted. Do not make these mistakes on the day of Kharna

Do not touch the things related to Chhath Puja even by mistake with dirty hands. It is appropriate to touch things related to puja only after washing hands or taking bath. Do not touch any Kharna item with dirty hands. If you do this by mistake, then do not use that item in worship. On the day of Kharna, the place where Prasad is made should be clean and tidy. Fasting women and family members should eat food only after offering Prasad to Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. Use only rock salt in Prasad and do not eat any other salt.

Kharna method of worship

On the day of Kharna, wake up early in the morning, clean the house thoroughly, take a bath and wear clean and comfortable clothes. Perform puja. Take bath again in the evening. Then wear clean clothes. Prepare Prasad (food) by lighting fire with mango wood. After the Prasad is prepared, first of all offer it to Chhathi Maiya. After the puja is over, the devotee should sit there for some time and meditate on the Mother Goddess.
