New Delhi: Bigg Boss 19 has recently seen a controversy stirring up around contestant Shehbaz Badesha, who is Shehnaaz Gill’s brother. During a Diwali week episode of Weekend Ka Vaar, Shehbaz spoke about the support he believes he is getting from the fans of the late Sidharth Shukla, a Bigg Boss 13 winner loved by many.

This statement caused a lot of anger among fans of Sidharth Shukla, known as Sidhearts, who felt that Shehbaz was wrongly using Sidharth’s name for his own benefit. The online reaction was intense and showed the powerful attachment that fans have to Sidharth’s memory.

Shehbaz Badesha sparked criticism with his comment on Bigg Boss 19 during a talk with music composer Amaal Mallik. Shehbaz said, “Mujhe Bigg Boss ke nomination me ane do, dekhte hain fir kya hota hai.” Amaal replied, “Ayenge sab…” But the comment that led to an uproar was Shehbaz’s next line: “Sidharth ke fan baithe hain bahar mere saath. Jo winner hai na iss show ka, mere saath fan following baithi hai uski” (Times Now News).

Fans expressed their disappointment and frustration, strongly criticising Shehbaz for using Sidharth Shukla’s legacy in this way. One fan wrote, “Does he really believe that Sidharth Shukla fans are voting and supporting him? Gadha kahin ka!” Another fan stated, “Why is he taking legend Sidharth Shukla’s name? He’s not even 1% of him.”

Other reactions showed the deep loyalty the fans have towards Sidharth. One said bluntly, “We are here ONLY for Sid. Don’t use his name for your game.” Another fan added, “He’s delusional if he thinks all Sidharth fans support him. Pehle voting mein hi Mridul Tiwari se haara tha.”
