Overview of RRB Recruitment
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has unveiled a remarkable chance for individuals aspiring to secure government jobs. They have announced openings for NTPC and Junior Engineer roles, inviting applications for a total of 5,620 vacancies. The application process is set to begin shortly, marking a significant opportunity for those who have been eagerly awaiting government employment.
For the NTPC UG Level Recruitment, there are 3,050 positions available, including roles such as Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Trains Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and Junior cum Typist. The application window will open on October 28th and close on November 27th. Notably, the maximum age limit has been revised to 30 years, down from 33 years, which has sparked some discontent among candidates, yet it remains a valuable opportunity for younger applicants.
Applicants must have completed at least their 12th grade, with a minimum of 50% marks required for general category candidates. However, this criterion is waived for ST, SC, and differently-abled individuals. For typist roles, candidates need to demonstrate a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. The selection will involve a two-stage computer-based test, along with a skill assessment for typing positions, incorporating negative marking for incorrect answers.
In addition, the Railways has initiated a recruitment drive for Junior Engineers, offering 2,570 positions. The application period for this recruitment will run from October 31st to November 30th. Candidates with a degree or diploma in civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or telecommunications engineering are eligible, as well as those holding a BCA, PGDCA, or DOEACC B-level qualification.
Candidates must be aged between 18 and 33 years for this recruitment, with age relaxations applicable to reserved categories as per government norms. The selection process will consist of two stages: a computer-based test (CBT) followed by document verification and a medical examination. The first CBT will feature 100 questions, while the second will include 150 questions. Interested candidates can apply for both positions by visiting the official website.
