New Delhi. The Supreme Court will hear on Monday the contempt petition filed against lawyer Rakesh Kishore in the case of throwing a shoe at the country’s Chief Justice (CJI) BR Gavai. The bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Jaimalya Bagchi will hear this case. Supreme Court Bar Association President Vikas Singh and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had told the Supreme Court that the Attorney General has approved contempt proceedings against lawyer Rakesh Kishore.

The Solicitor General had said that some people were glorifying the incident. At the same time, Justice Surya Kant had said that the CJI, out of generosity, did not register the case. Justice Surya Kant had said that this shows that the Supreme Court is not influenced by such incidents. At the same time, Vikas Singh had said that Lord Vishnu will not ask you to resort to violence to do something like this. He also called it an insult to God. On this, Justice Surya Kant had said that violence cannot be encouraged. Whereas, Justice Jaimalya Bagchi had said that we are alive only because of our behavior in the court. The CJI demonstrated this sentiment. Justice Bagchi also raised the question that there are many important cases before the court. Will the contempt case not waste time?

At the same time, Rakesh Kishore, the lawyer who committed the shoe scandal, gave an interview to the media after the incident. Rakesh Kishore had said that he was angry with CJI BR Gavai’s remarks about Lord Vishnu. According to the accused lawyer, he was not able to sleep after hearing the CJI’s comments. Rakesh Kishore said that every night God used to ask, how can I rest after so much humiliation? Rakesh Kishore also said that whatever he did, even his family members would not be happy. Let us tell you that after the shoe scandal in the Supreme Court, Rakesh Kishore had also loudly said, ‘Hindustan will not tolerate the insult of Sanatan’. Rakesh Kishore also later said that he has no regrets for his actions.
