A heart-wrenching incident took place in Delhi on Sunday. An accused has thrown acid on a 20-year-old student studying in DU’s Lakshmibai College. The student’s hand was injured in this attack. At present the student has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Many teams of Delhi Police have started searching for the attacker. It is known that the victim student is studying in the second year. The victim told that she is a second year student of Lakshmi Bai College located in Ashok Vihar. She was going to college for extra classes when the incident happened.
An acquaintance attacked
According to the victim’s statement, the attack was carried out by her acquaintance Jitendra and his two associates Ishaan and Armaan. All three had come on a motorcycle. Ishaan allegedly gave a bottle of acid to Armaan, after which Armaan threw the acid on the victim. The victim tried to save her face, but both her hands got burnt. After the attack, the three accused fled from the spot.
The victim also revealed that Jitendra had been stalking her for a long time and there was a heated argument between the two a month ago. As soon as information about the incident was received, teams of Crime and Forensic Science Lab (FSL) reached the spot and started investigation. A case has been registered on the basis of the statement of the victim. Police are conducting raids in search of the accused and are expected to arrest them soon.
