Twinkle Khanna, who is today a famous writer and popular talk show host, once went through a lot of struggle in her initial days in Bollywood. In the 90s, he worked with superstars like Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgan, but most of his films did not perform at the box office. The beginning looked glamorous, but soon the journey became filled with uncertainty and failures.
Twinkle Khanna shared the stage with Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and Edelweiss Mutual Fund CEO Radhika Gupta at the 2025 Tweak India Summit. When the discussion came on failure, Twinkle shared the experiences of her early career. He said that he did not have natural talent for acting, and the criticism he received in films made him stronger. Twinkle told that she did not let the failures become a burden, but took them like a trampoline i.e. an opportunity to jump higher after every fall. Twinkle has said many times that she started acting not out of passion, but at the behest of her family. Her mother, well-known actress Dimple Kapadia, wanted Twinkle to also enter films. Let us tell you that Twinkle is the daughter of superstar Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. In an interview, she had told that she was actually going to appear for the exam to become a Chartered Accountant, but her mother told her to try films while she was young and do the rest later. On this advice, she debuted with Bobby Deol in the film Barsaat in 1995. Later she appeared in films like Badshah, Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai and Jaan, but she did not get great success.
After staying away from films, Twinkle chose the path of writing and this proved to be the turning point of her career. In 2015, her first book Mrs Funnybones came out, which was written with a humorous perspective on modern life. The book was a superhit and more than one lakh copies were sold. After this he wrote books like The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad and Pyjamas Are Forgiving, which were highly appreciated. With her funny and intelligent writing style, Twinkle is counted among the top female writers of India today.
Apart from writing, Twinkle now also hosts a talk show named Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle, in which both of them talk openly on issues related to Bollywood and society.
