New Delhi: India’s security agencies got a major success on Saturday, when gangster Lakhwinder Kumar was sent back to India from America. Lakhwinder Kumar who was associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Interpol Red Notice was also issued against him. This operation was coordinated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). According to sources, about 40 gangsters including Lakhwinder Kumar have been sent back to India from abroad this year. After the successful deportation of Lakhwinder Kumar, Gurugram Police arrested sensational gangster Sunil Sardana from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport today. Officials say that Sunil Sardana had planned the firing incident on Bollywood singer Fazilpuriya this year. Apart from this, many operatives associated with the gangster network are also on India’s radar in Canada, UAE and Europe, where Indian agencies are taking action through Interpol Red Corner Notice and bilateral requests.

CBI had earlier issued a red notice against Lakhwinder Kumar through Interpol on October 26, 2024, on the demand of Haryana Police. He reached India after being deported from the US on October 25, 2025 and was arrested by a Haryana Police team at Delhi Airport, the statement said.
So far this year, 36 gangsters have been returned to India and Indian agencies are intensifying their action against gangsters who have fled abroad. These gangsters face various serious charges, and Interpol Red Corner Notices have been sent to bring them back.
