PM Kisan 21st Installment: Farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme. The previous i.e. 20th installment was released in the month of August, which was a little late than the scheduled time.
9.8 crore farmers had benefited from this installment, including 2.4 crore women farmers. Now the eyes of the farmers are fixed on the next announcement of the government.
What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started by the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal in the interim budget of 2019. After this Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched it. This scheme has now become the world's largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given financial assistance of ₹ 2,000 every four months. That means farmers get a total of ₹ 6,000 in three installments in a year. This amount is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the farmers.
When will the 21st installment of PM Kisan be released?
According to media reports, the 21st installment may be released in the first week of November. However, the official date has not been announced yet by the government. Let us tell you that the government has already released the 21st installment for the flood and landslide affected farmers of Jammu and Kashmir. On October 7, 2025, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had released this installment in advance through video conferencing. Under this, an amount of ₹ 171 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of 8.55 lakh farmers. Of these, more than 85,000 women farmers were also included. Farmers of Jammu and Kashmir have so far received an amount of ₹ 4,052 crore under the PM-Kisan scheme.
