Shah Rukh Khan had a bigger hand in making Aryan Khan's The Ba****ds of Bollywood more iconic than it would have initially seemed. From the last-minute cameos to the very intense story, the younger Khan put his mind, body and soul into making this project.
It's big twist also came from an original song from a Bobby Deol movie that came out decades ago. Interestingly, the payment for the song was much lesser than expected, but the emotional value was so much greater.

Bobby Deol's Gupt featured Rajiv Rai's Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, a song that got revived in the finale episode. During a recent interview, Rai revealed that he got a call from Pooja Dadlani, Shah Rukh Khan's manager to request the song.
"Usually I don’t give out my songs. Sometimes people just go straight to the music company and take the soundtrack from them, which is wrong. I believe they should also seek the producer’s permission. It was nice that they asked me and called me directly."
Surprisingly, the iconic actor took matters in his own hands and personally asked the producer to adorn the series with the song. Now the song is solely responsible for what might be one of the iconic twists in television.

Shah Rukh Khan wasn't going to back down no matter what. It was his son's debut project and that meant pulling all possible strings to make sure he got the best. As such, he personally contacted Rajiv Rai.
"Shah Rukh Khan spoke to me directly and said, ‘This is my son’s first project and I need your support and goodwill’. I immediately thought that I won’t charge any money for this, and I won’t even bring up the money aspect. He even offered it to me but I didn’t…"
Due to the nature of SRK's request, Rai was sure he wouldn't ask for any sort of compensation for using the song. However, the legendary actor kept insisting. The actor offered to pay, but the producer wouldn't budge. It was a special project for both Khan and Rai.
