GB News raised new fears for Prince Andrew as the debate about his leaving the Royal Lodge rages on - with Andrew now reportedly demanding two other properties if he vacates his current residence. Panellist Christopher Biggins worried that the former Duke of York - who gave up his titles - could "take his own life" due to the "witch hunt" going on.
He said on the programme: "I'm not standing up for him because I think he's appalling, what he's been doing, and what he's done. However I do think there's now a bit of a witch hunt going on. He did a deal for that house he's living in, and the deal was he would get a peppercorn rent and he would put in a lot of money, millions of pounds, to renovate it and keep it up to a good standard."
He added: "I think if he wasn't as strong as he is, there could be someone who would take their own life out of this situation."
But Ellie Costello argued: "I think it's the optics, though, isn't it? This is a story of young girls being exploited by the rich and powerful, so him living in a 30 room mansion on the royal estate doesn't sit well with people.
"If he were to downsize to Frogmore Cottage, which we heard a lot from Harry and Meghan about how small it was and how awful it was... for a lot of people that would be karma, that's where he belongs."
Biggins responded: "Listen I'm not standing up [for him], I think what he did was appalling and the fact that he didn't come true to his situation, I think it is wrong. But I do think enough is enough."
Eamonn Holmes chimed in: "Virginia Giuffre did take her own life."
Andrew has vehemently denied any allegations of wrongdoing, but was found to have continued his email correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein after he claimed to have cut all contact - as did his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
