Chhath Puja 2025: Chhath Puja, the great festival of worship of Sun God, is being celebrated. This festival is not limited to Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh only, but is celebrated with great enthusiasm and discipline by the Indian community settled in many countries of the world including Nepal.

Through which they wish for the prosperity and better health of their family. This festival has now become a strong symbol of the cultural identity of NRIs. It is a festival of folk tradition and religious faith.

Betel

Apart from Suthni, having betel nut is also very important in Chhath Puja. Because, like every auspicious work, betel nut is also used in Chhath Puja. It is considered a symbol of Mars, dedication and stability. Offering betel nut during Chhath puja brings auspiciousness in life and maintains harmony in the family.

Banana is counted among the most sacred fruits. It is said in religious scriptures that Lord Vishnu resides in banana. If banana is included in the worship of Chhath Maiya, then there is prosperity in the house and happiness of children.

Sugarcane

Sugarcane has special significance in the festival of Chhath. During Chhath Puja, a sugarcane pavilion is made and a lamp is lit under it. This is part of the ritual of filling Kosi. Sugarcane is a symbol of happiness and peace.

Dabh Lemon
