Pakistani actress Amar Khan drew attention and criticism for her outfit at a Diwali celebration recently. The event followed a tradition where artists from Pakistan’s showbiz industry join Hindu colleagues to mark the festival. Several prominent actors, including Ayesha Omar, Sarwat Gilani, Sanam Saeed, and Ali Rehman, were also present and participated in rituals like applying tilak and sindoor.

While most attendees were praised for celebrating cultural diversity, Amar Khan’s outfit became the focus of public discussion. The 32-year-old wore a deep red satin saree paired with a halter-neck blouse. She styled her hair back, wore a red bindi on her forehead, and completed her look with heavy earrings and a choker necklace. Her makeup was minimal except for bold red lipstick that matched the outfit.

The actress received compliments from fellow performers such as Dur-e-Fishan Saleem and Minal Khan. However, social media users criticized her revealing attire. Many comments suggested she was seeking attention or opportunities in Bollywood. Others expressed shock at her fashion choice, questioning whether such outfits were appropriate for the occasion.

Some users defended Amar Khan, emphasizing respect for religious tolerance and cultural participation. They argued that criticism of her clothing was unfair and unnecessary. Despite the strong reactions, Amar Khan chose to remain silent and did not respond to negative comments.
