Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the biggest weapon to protect against cyber crime is awareness. He congratulated Madhya Pradesh Police and all the participants for organizing 'Run for Cyber Awareness'. The Chief Minister said that this fight is not only of the police but of the entire society. Technology and laws are in place, but real security comes only when the citizens themselves are aware.
The Chief Minister said that this campaign is giving the most important initiative of the digital age the form of a mass movement. Today, with the speed with which the country is going digital, new cyber threats have also increased at the same pace. Incidents like digital arrest, fake profiles, data theft, online fraud, fake investment links have become common. Every class is being affected by this.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off the participants from Platinum Plaza located at Atal Path. Run Apex Bank via Tiraha. Ended at Municipal Stadium. On this occasion, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Director General of Police Kailash Makwana and senior police officers were present. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has realized the dream of making India a technologically strong nation through Digital India. He said that Madhya Pradesh has provided digital services from Panchayat to Secretariat. He said – “If anyone is cyber cheated, immediately call the helpline number 1930 or file a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in.” Delay reduces the chances of getting the money back. Just as cleanliness has become our culture, similarly cyber cleanliness will also have to be adopted.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi has given this meaningful mantra for cyber security – “Stop, think and then take action.” Do not immediately trust any unknown call or link. Think first, then act. This is the constitution of the digital age and the values of a safe citizen.
Director General of Police Kailash Makwana said that cyber crime is the fastest growing crime in the world. It will leave other crimes behind in the times to come. He said that this is not only a loss of money but also a loss of trust, character and identity. Theft of research, design or photos is also a cyber crime.
The Director General of Police said that the objective of this race is not just to run but to be aware and make others aware. He said- “Do not share password, OTP and personal information with anyone.” Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously running cyber awareness campaign, so that every citizen can protect his digital identity.
October is being celebrated as Cyber Awareness Month. Workshops, school-college sessions and social media campaigns have been conducted across the state. Under this campaign, 'Run for Cyber Awareness 2025' was organized in which police officers, students and voluntary organizations participated.
