Viral Video: HSBC Australia celebrated Diwali with a vibrant party that transported Sydney to the Bollywood era. Employees of the bank were seen dancing merrily to well-known Indian tunes, many of them decked out in exquisite traditional sarees and lehengas to celebrate the holiday. The popular video, which captures the spirit of Diwali distant from India, shows staff having a good time dancing to Bollywood songs and Gallan Goodiyan.

This year, Manjit’s Wharf, a popular Indian restaurant on Sydney’s waterfront in New South Wales, sponsored a Diwali celebration for HSBC Australia. “The event beautifully captured the spirit of Diwali—bringing together people from all walks of life to celebrate light, togetherness, and prosperity,” according to an Instagram post.
“A great thank you to Manjit’s for the amazing hospitality and lively environment that made the night even more memorable, and to HSBC for arranging such a friendly and inclusive celebration. The message continues, “Here’s to spreading more light, love, and unity — not just on Diwali, but every day.”
“Indians in Sydney,” a group with over 137,000 members, broadcast the event on Instagram, allowing everyone to experience the joyous atmosphere. Users responded quickly; some were dissatisfied that alcohol was served during the Diwali celebration, while many others enjoyed the festivities.
Instagram users gave the video, which was posted a few days ago, a lot of views, comments, and likes. “Absolutely fabulous,” someone said. A second user said, “That’s pretty considerate,” “Looks so fun,” a third person said. “Wow, incredible,” a fourth user said. “I adore it. “Wonderful,” another person said.
