New Delhi, October 29 (Read): Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 stable update for its mid-range smartphones — the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy M55s — in India. The update brings a refreshed interface, new features, and the October 2025 Android security patch.
The Galaxy M55 update arrives with firmware version M556BXXU4CYJ4 and has a download size of over 2.6GBwhile the Galaxy M55s receives firmware version M558BXXU2CYJ4weighing more than 2.5GB.
In addition to the latest security improvements, the update introduces One UI 8 enhancementsincluding smoother animations, better multitasking, updated privacy controls, and an improved lock screen experience.
The rollout is currently live in Indiawith availability expected to expand to other regions in the coming days. Users who haven’t received the update notification can check manually by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install on their devices.
