Snowfall has begun falling on the high mountains, causing temperatures to drop significantly. People have begun wearing warm clothing.

The government is conducting trials of artificial rain to improve air quality. Montha brought rain to South India, bringing pleasant weather. Due to a Western Disturbance, cloudy skies and rain are expected in some North Indian states. The IMD has predicted light to heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, where snowfall is also possible. Cloudy weather is expected to continue over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and Rajasthan for the next three days.
The IMD has issued an alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu for the next 36 hours due to Cyclone Montha. Additionally, a warning has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms along the coasts of Karnataka, Kerala, and West Bengal.
Meanwhile, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat may experience moderate rainfall. Manipur, Sikkim, Tripura, Mizoram, and Nagaland may also experience rain and rough weather.
According to the Meteorological Department, Uttar Pradesh is gradually experiencing an increase in winter. Despite the cloudy weather in western Uttar Pradesh, the weather is expected to remain dry. The IMD has predicted that thunderstorms may occur in Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, and Mau due to the impact of Cyclone Montha.
Azamgarh, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, and Chitrakoot may experience light rain. The IMD has predicted rain in parts of Jhansi, Kanpur, and Lucknow. The rain may lead to an increase in cold and foggy conditions.
