Victoria Beckham revealed that then–creative director Marc Jacobs once realized the bag she carried from the brand was a fake.

The former Spice Girl was photographed shopping with husband David Beckham in the early 2000s, carrying Louis Vuitton Graffiti Alma. When Jacobs saw the photos, he immediately recognized the bag was fake and offered to send her an authentic version, according to Asia One.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast recently, Victoria said: “This was not a real Louis Vuitton bag. This was a fake one.”

“And he was like ‘I’m gonna send you a real one.’ This was a snide,” she said. “I’m not as posh as you think! Not all the time!”

The Louis Vuitton Graffiti Alma, designed by the late designer Stephen Sprouse in collaboration with Marc Jacobs, debuted on the brand’s Spring/Summer 2001 runway and became an emblematic fusion of street art and luxury, according to Grazia magazine.

Victoria, 51, rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the Spice Girls. She later pursued a solo music career and launched her eponymous fashion label in 2008, expanding into beauty and fragrances and establishing herself as a major figure in the fashion industry.

She married David in 1999, and the couple have four children.
