Tien surprised her followers by sharing a video of herself in wedding gowns, posing alongside Cohen, who wore a black suit, on social media Tuesday. The same day Elle magazine carried several photos from Tien and Cohen’s wedding album shot in the British capital London.
A source close to Tien revealed to NgoiSao: “Tien’s fiancé is from Dubai, and the couple have planned their wedding for early December.”
Cohen is private about his personal life, rarely making public appearances or posting on social media.
Born in the 1980s, he is originally from Dubai but grew up in Canada, according to sources. He graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and Vancouver Film School. His academic background thus blends technology, design and media. He served as a webmaster at the Vancouver Film School, leading a team of designers and programmers.
Later he worked as a designer at an advertising agency in Canada, where he helped develop advanced web solutions for global brands.
From 2004 to 2007 Cohen was back at the British Columbia Institute of Technology teaching courses in journalism, broadcasting and television, helping students hone their web programming skills.
Since 2007, when he co-founded digital advertising and content company Sofresh Digital Creative (now Wunderman Thompson Vietnam) with close friend and businessman Vu Ly Viet, he has been splitting his time between Canada and Ho Chi Minh City, working in both places.
Sofresh Digital Creative has won multiple national and international awards, and counts several major global brands as its clients. Cohen now serves as the company’s business development director, shaping its strategic vision and overseeing creative, technology and data initiatives.
He is also recognized as an international marketing strategist. In 2015 he was named one of Campaign Asia’s Top 40 Under 40.
He maintains close relationships with many notable artists and business figures in Vietnam.
He is often seen attending social gatherings, New Year parties and family celebrations alongside the “king of luxury goods” Jonathan Hanh Nguyen, Miss Vietnam 2012 Dang Thu Thao and her husband, actress Kathy Uyen, and actress Bang Di and her boyfriend Justin Chiem.
Jonathan Hanh Nguyen is the founder and chairman of IPPG, Vietnam’s top luxury retailer with exclusive rights to distribute over 100 global brands including Rolex, Cartier and Dolce & Gabbana.
Along with being actively involved with her family in managing the IPPG Fund for Community, Tien also commands a significant social media presence with over 254,000 followers on Instagram. While her siblings are either wed or in public relationships, she has kept her romantic life private.
