Wellington, 31 October (Read).

Changes have been made in the New Zealand team before the third and final ODI against England. Northern Districts all-rounder Christian Clarke has been included in the ODI team for the first time. He will replace the injured Matt Henry, who has been ruled out of the series due to a left calf strain.

Matt Henry suffered this injury during the second ODI played in Hamilton. He will now return to Christchurch on Friday (31 October).

24-year-old Clarke has performed brilliantly in domestic cricket recently. Playing for Northern Districts in the Ford Trophy, he scored his first List A century and took 3 wickets for 57 runs, helping his team defeat Central Stags.

Clarke was a part of the New Zealand team in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup, where he impressed with his all-round skills. He has been playing for Northern Districts in all formats since 2022 and earlier this year also went on the Bangladesh tour with the New Zealand A team.
