New Delhi. Ajay Chaudhary, co-founder of the country’s renowned tech company HCL, has expressed concern over India’s lagging behind in the tech sector. He said that we are largely dependent on manufacturing and this is a situation of crisis. He also expressed concern about China’s growing influence and access to India’s data. He said in the podcast that all the things you see around you have Chinese chips embedded in them. When Narendra Modi came to power, he said that I want to see attendance machines in every office of the central government. All the attendance machines installed are from China and have Chinese chips installed in them.

Then once the Intelligence Agency was asked to investigate, it said that all the data had gone to China. He said that in this way the data of all our central employees went to China. He said that similarly, the CCTV cameras installed in every street in India also have Chinese chips installed in them. Ajay Chaudhary said that not a single phone in this country is Indian. This is sad. There is talk of manufacturing here, but in reality it is like tightening the screws. The goods come from China and we assemble them. He said that first we have to see what are the demands of the government.

After that this work should be given to an Indian company only. Same thing happens in China. The entire telecom work of China is with Huawei and it is also funded by the government. He was asked that which company is there in India which can do such work. On this he said that the government does not provide any such support in India.

’60 percent of our economy is manufacturing, this is the big crisis’
He said that 60 percent of our economy is dependent on manufacturing and this is very dangerous. We have to move towards a product nation. Chinese people are rebranding their products. They are selling items up to Singapore in the name of China. China has rare earths on a large scale and is using them as weapons. He said that 30 to 40 percent of our requirement of rare earth material can be obtained only from e-waste.
