Dev Uthani Ekadashi:Devuthani Ekadashi, also known as Prabodhini Ekadashi, is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi date of Kartik Shukla Paksha.

This year this special festival will be celebrated on 1 November 2025. On this day Lord Vishnu wakes up from his four months of yoga sleep and auspicious works begin again in the universe.

When is Devuthani Ekadashi 2025?

According to the Panchang, this year Ekadashi Tithi will start at 09:11 am on November 1 and end at 07:31 am on November 2. That is, the whole day on 1st November will be Ekadashi Tithi, hence keeping fast and worshiping on this day will be very auspicious.

Importance of Tulsi Vivah and Dev Jagran

On the day of Devuthani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu is awakened and Tulsi marriage is performed. This marriage is traditionally performed after the awakening of Lord Vishnu, who symbolizes auspiciousness and prosperity.

It is believed that by marrying Tulsi on this day, a person gets the same results as by marrying a girl.

From this date itself, all the auspicious works which were stopped for four months, like marriage, mundan, house warming, Yajnopavit Sanskar etc., start again.
