Method to make Amla oil at home (Amla Oil Benefits for Hair)
Material:
- Fresh gooseberries – 5-6 (or dried gooseberries – 2 tbsp)
- Coconut oil – 1 cup (you can also use mustard or almond oil)
- Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp (helpful in hair fall)
- Curry leaves – a few leaves (makes hair black and strong)
Method of preparation: First of all, cut fresh gooseberries into small pieces and grind them coarsely in a mixer. Now add coconut oil in an iron or thick bottom pan and heat it on low flame. Add powdered amla, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves in it. Cook the oil until the amla turns dark brown and the color of the oil becomes green or light brown. Now let the oil cool completely. Filter it through a fine cloth or sieve and fill it in a glass bottle.

Heat the oil slightly and apply it on the hair roots 2-3 times a week. Massage gently with fingers for 5–10 minutes so that the oil reaches the roots properly. Leave it in the hair for at least 1 hour or overnight. Next morning wash hair with mild herbal shampoo.
