Harshvardhan Rane was born on 16 December 1983 in Andhra Pradesh to a Telugu mother and Marathi father. His father, Vivek Rane, was a doctor in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He was brought up in Gwalior and came to Delhi at the age of 16 and later settled in Maharashtra.

Harshvardhan Rane is an actor who mainly works in Hindi and Telugu films. Rane started his film career with the Telugu film Thakita Thakita (2010).

Actor Harshvardhan Rane made his Bollywood debut with Sanam Teri Kasam (2016), for which he received a Stardust Award nomination for Superstar of Tomorrow Male.

Harshvardhan Rane started his television career with Left Right Left (2007–2008). He then appeared in Telugu films like Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013), Anamika and Maya.
