1. Change in bank nominee rules
From today i.e. from November 1, the bank will give customers the option to add four nominees. This means that now any person will be able to add four nominees for his one account, locker etc. The bank behind this change says that this decision has been taken so that the funds can be utilized properly in case of emergency. Let us tell you, the process of adding nominees has also been simplified.
2- New GST slab effective from today
The GST slab which was announced by the Government of India last month. Which has come into effect from today. Instead of removing the earlier four GST slabs, the government has now kept only two GST slabs of 5 percent and 18 percent. At the same time, 40 percent GST will be imposed on luxury items.
3- Deadline extended for UPS
The deadline has been extended for those employees who want to take UPS instead of NPS. Employees will now have the option to select it till November 30.
4- Pensioners will have to give life certificate
Every retired employee will have to submit the life certificate at the end of November. Pensioners will be able to get this process done through bank or Jeevan Pramaan portal. If this process is not completed in time, there may be a hindrance in receiving the pension.
5- PNB changing locker charges
There may be a change in the charges charged on lockers by Punjab National Bank this month. Hopefully it will be announced soon. However, it will take at least 30 days for its implementation.
6- SBI cardholders will have to pay 1% fee on these payments.
If SBI card holders make education payments through third party apps like Mobikwik or Cred, then they will have to pay 1 percent fee. Apart from this, SBI card holders will have to pay 1 percent fee for adding more than Rs 1,000 to the digital wallet.
7- Aadhaar Card Update Charge
Now children will not have to pay any money for biometric updates. Earlier the fee was Rs 125. Keep in mind that this fee exemption will be available only to children up to 1 year of age. If an adult updates the name, date of birth, address or mobile number in the Aadhar card, then he will have to pay only Rs 75. At the same time, for fingerprint or retina updates, you will have to spend Rs 125.
